My girlfriend and I were looking for breakfast and she said she'd had a good one at Schucks in the past. I was a little incredulous, thinking this was just a bar and seafood place, but I'd also gotten a little tired of the other breakfast places in the area, who seemed to have fallen in quality a bit. We sat down with a mimosa and a bloody Mary, ordered the chicken fried steak and corned beef hash. My take: Great service. Seating was easy , we had drinks almost immediately, and The waiter noticed that her corned beef had onions in it before even setting the food down, and had it fixed within a couple minutes. Which leads to the next item, the food. The corned beef was phenomenal and definitely house-made. No pre-made stuff out of a can here. Hearty chunks of lean brisket with almost no fat that were tender and flavorful, actually cooked in a skillet with hash browns. The portion was large and the price was great. My chicken fried steak was crispy with a lot of flavor in the breading. The gravy was great, though a bit thicker than I like (not that it mattered, I ate every bite), loaded with sausage and butter, and also clearly not something out of a box. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and not greasy. This non -breakfast place might have just become my new favorite breakfast place in the Northwest and I will absolutely be back again. Thank you!

I ate at shucks last night 7/18 2024 for the 1st time. Standard sportsbar with lots of locals. I started with 1 dozen raw oysters. They looked like they might have been shucked earlier and kept chilled. Alittle dry, need to keep them in their own juice. Still were a treat. I also had the lobster roll. The roll was amazing and so were the fries. Not a fan of how they chopped up the lobster. Was hard to tell if it was even lobster. Not alot of taste. They have a good size menu so I will return to try other items.

Decided to try breakfast here for once since we typically only eat lunch or dinner here. Unfortunately, we were not overly impressed with breakfast. The croissant sandwhich breakfast was probably the best along with the side of scrambled eggs. However, the biscuit and gravy were quite a let down with the biscuits being hard and the gravy being cold when it was delivered to the table. Also, the overall price was higher than other local tavern/pub type restaurants we eat breakfast at in the immediate area.

We returned here for another seafood feast at the place that has the best crab buckets I have yet sampled in the Las Vegas Valley. This time we began with delectable Bacon Wrapped Shrimp; a very tasty Bowl of New England Clam Chowder; a small deconstructed Classic Wedge Salad containing lettuce, tomato, pieces of bacon, Red Onion, and Bleu Cheese Dressing; a slice of Garlic Bread; and creamy Coleslaw. Then, while Diane happily dug into Fried Clam Strips and a Fisherman's Platter of Beer Battered Haddock, plump Fried Shrimp, and French Fries, I tore apart a Clam Bucket that included a pound of delicious Dungeness Crab prepared with Lemon Pepper seasoning, mild Andouille Sausage, and nicely butter-rubbed Red Potatoes and Corn on the Cob. The crab meat was further enhanced when dipped into Drawn Butter. We had a slow break between appetizers and entrees. As usual, this was a great crustacean-centric meal!
